MetLife Bangladesh has published a circular for the position of Business Data Analyst.
Job Scope
This is a high visibility role that should have in-dept knowledge of data strategy, challenges & priorities and enable acceleration of business decision making and achieving enterprise targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify analytical needs that will help different teams/management to identify growth opportunities.
- Identify hidden patterns and prepare insights from data using different exploratory and data science methods.
- Analyze large data sets and prepare data for model development.
- Work closely with partners to gather requirements, design data models and implement solutions that meet their needs.
- Codify processes/techniques/tools into standard methodologies for other data scientists.
- Influence business partners to contribute to and adopt insights from analytical work.
- Innovate and find creative ways to source data to support modeling efforts, using structured and unstructured data. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in AI/ML and other related technologies and continuously improving organizational reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, understand their needs and provide them with relevant data insights on regular and/or ad-hoc basis.
- Prepare Dynamic Dashboard and monitor business KPIs on regular basis and prepare insights for any irregular patterns for business team or Management for making right decisions.
- Conduct research and prepare business opportunities for cross-functional teams on regular and/or ad-hoc basis.
- Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure availability of data in the data analytics server.
Academic Qualification
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate in CSE.
Relevant Past Experience
- 4 – 5 years’ of relevant experience.
Functional Competencies
- Advanced skills and experience on SQL Query (MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).
- Excellent data wrangling, data preprocessing, and data visualization skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R and knowledge of agile solution development principles.
- Hands-on experience in MS Excel, Excel VBA & PowerPoint.
- Skills on analytics and applied statistics, AI/ML, Certification on SQL and Data Science, Analytics will be added advantage.
- Practical experience with big data processing frameworks, and platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Spark will be added advantage.
