Aarong – BRAC has recently published a circular for the position of Officer, Procurement

Job Responsibilities:

  • Visit market to source new Trims and Accessories suppliers, compare/verify the rates, purchase minor items.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of all trims and Accessories item requisitions within the lead time
  • Analyze hard copy requisition with the live sample to ensure the accuracy of requisition particulars/ Specifications and UOM
  • Develop new sources to minimize the supply chain risk
  • Prepare RFQ/RFP and get it approved by the appropriate authority and float it to relevant suppliers
  • Estimate cost parameters and confirm the budget before purchases
  • Analyze previous record of purchases, pricing, and other important data
  • Prioritize requisitions based on operational urgency and process for procurement accordingly
  • Process payment requests for quick disbursement of supplier bills
  • Coordinate with team lead, team members, and internal & external stakeholders

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Bachelor Degree (Preferable in Business Administration or Supply Chain) from any reputed university

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in Procurement will be preferred
  • Any course or PGD in Supply Chain Management or Procurement will be preferred
  • Freshers are also encouraged to apply

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the procurement process, vendor development, and ERP software
  • Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices of a supply chain management
  • Good analytical skills with MS Office proficiency and any analytical software knowledge
