Who Are the New Ministers and State Ministers in the Latest Cabinet?

Following the sweeping victory in the 12th National Election of Bangladesh in 2024, the Awami League is set to form the new government. The members of the new cabinet are scheduled to take oath tomorrow, Thursday, at 7 PM. The new cabinet will comprise 25 full ministers and 14 state ministers. Actual final list will be confirmed tomorrow.

The Cabinet Secretary, Md. Mahbub Hossain, announced the names of the new cabinet members to the press at the secretariat on Wednesday night. The specific responsibilities of each minister in various ministries will be revealed after the oath-taking ceremony tomorrow.

The oath-taking ceremony for the new cabinet, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will be held tomorrow evening at 7 PM at the Bangabhaban. Including the Prime Minister, the new cabinet consists of 37 members.

The following individuals are assuming roles as full ministers: AKM Mozammel Haque (Gazipur-1), Obaidul Quader (Noakhali-5), Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun (Narsingdi-4), Asaduzzaman Khan (Dhaka-12), Dipu Moni (Chandpur-3), Md. Tajul Islam (Cumilla-9), Muhammad Faruk Khan (Gopalganj-1), Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali (Dinajpur-4), Anisul Huq (Brahmanbaria-4), Mohammed Hasan Mahmud (Chattogram-7), Md. Abdus Shahid (Moulvibazar-4), Sadhan Chandra Majumdar (Naogaon-1), RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury (Brahmanbaria-3), Md. Abdur Rahman (Faridpur-1), Narayan Chandra Chanda (Khulna-5), Abdus Salam (Mymensingh-9), Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury (Chattogram-9), Farhad Hossain (Meherpur-1), Md. Faridul Haq Khan (Jamalpur-2), Md. The new state ministers include Simin Hossain Rimi (Gazipur-4), Nasrul Hamid (Dhaka-3), Junaid Ahmed (Natore-3), Mohammad Ali Arafat (Dhaka-17), Mohibbur Rahman (Patuakhali-4), Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury (Dinajpur-2), Zahid Faruk (Barishal-5), Kujendra Lal Tripura (Khagrachhari), Rumana Ali (Gazipur-3), Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury (Sylhet-2), and Ahsanul Islam (Tangail-6).
