Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Health, Environmental Protection, and Safety:
    Fully understand and follow the company’s Health, Environmental Protection, and Safety policies. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations to maintain a safe workplace for everyone.
  • Equipment Operation and Monitoring:
    Safely monitor and operate the following equipment while observing all safety precautions and regulations:
  • Turbo expander, Booster compressors, GTG, SGC, FGC, Gas Generator & Diesel Generator
  • Pumps, Instrument Air Compressors, Hydraulic control Panels, Automatic Valves, Pressure switches & Vessels
  • TEG Pump, Wellhead Equipment, Gas and Condensate Separators, Heat Exchangers
  • Firefighting and Safety Equipment, TEG Regeneration System, Filters, Tanks, and other process equipment
  • Team Leadership:
    Provide leadership to the team of Operations Technicians and Utility Workers to meet goals efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively. Reinforce all Operational Excellence (OE) guidelines and Safe Work Practices according to the Chevron Way.
  • Operational Duties:
  • Conduct well tests, monitor metering data, and record pressure readings in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Perform isolation, purging, and cleaning of pressure vessels and piping as per Operations Shift Lead guidance.
  • Carry out planned plant shutdowns, well perforation, and surveillance campaigns.
  • Maintenance Tasks:
    Participate in Operator Routine Duty (ORD) processes. Perform routine first-line maintenance under Operator Driven Reliability (ODR) processes, including cleaning gauge glasses, greasing valves, and other maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshooting and Reporting:
    Report process variables that are outside predefined limits, and initiate work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (JDE).
  • Production and Compliance:
  • Meet production expectations as per GPSA and ensure process and equipment availability.
  • Participate as a member of the emergency response team in exercises.
  • Comply with Chevron Compliance and Bangladesh compliance guidelines.
  • Safety and Teamwork:
    Participate in team safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job safety analyses to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Promote teamwork by assisting others in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Contribute ideas to improve operational safety and efficiency through CP submissions and other methods. Lead tasks safely following Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines.
  • Additional Tasks:
    Carry out any other tasks related to company operations based on business needs, training, and job experience.

Working Conditions

  • Position requires both Day/Night shift work.
  • Set a personal example in safety, workmanship, punctuality, good housekeeping, and a positive work ethic.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree:
    In any branch of engineering from a recognized polytechnic institute or university. Educational qualifications may be relaxed for candidates with significant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petro-Chemical industry.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • 2-5 years of relevant operational experience.
  • Relevant Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) experience in operations.
  • Experience in operational sampling, laboratory analysis, and data analysis.
  • Skills Required:
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong commitment to Health, Environment, and Safety.
