Aarong – BRAC has recently published a circular for the position of Officer, Compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review legal documents and licenses regularly to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with current regulations, and communicate with relevant authorities for necessary updates.
  • Maintain communication and coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies such as City Corporation, DC office, Department of Jute, DIFE, Fire Service, BSTI, DOE, Civil Surgeon office, etc., to address compliance issues and obtain necessary approvals, permissions, and licenses.
  • Verify land documents for leasing land or buildings for new projects, and provide support in completing necessary deeds or agreements.
  • Prepare official letters, reports, and other compliance-related documents with accuracy, clarity, and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Support the management of compliance-related documentation, organize records and files, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance matters.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise in safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor Degree (preferably in Law discipline) from any reputed university

Experience Requirements:

  • 1 year of relevant experience in compliance / administration is preferred.
  • Practical experience in any reputed Land Developments/ Housing & Real Estate Company will be considered an added advantage.

Additional Requirements:

  • Should have knowledge of regulatory compliance, land management, and general administration
  • Excellent typing speed in both Bangla (Bijoy) and English
  • Proficiency in MS office (word, excel, power point)
  • Should have strategic skills

Salary: As per company policy
