U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position Visa Assistant (IV Assistant- Fraud Analyst)

Incumbent performs duties as Immigrant Visa (IV) Assistant in the IV unit of the Consular Section. Incumbent executes all procedures associated with the processing and printing of Immigrant Visas. Incumbent is primary fraud detection analyst in IV Team who would go through documents that are submitted by the applicants and also look into Consular Consolidated Database and keep a note for adjudicators about his/her findings. Incumbent performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Commerce, or Science is required. (U.S. equivalent college studies). (You must attach a copy of your degree certificate along with your application form.)
- Position requires a minimum of two years’ experience in administrative, governmental or para-professional fields.
- Fluent (speaking /reading) in English is required. Ability to write English at the U.S. high school graduate level is required. Fluent (speaking/reading) in Bangla is required. Applicant is frequently required to serve as Bangla interpreter for English-speaking colleagues. This may be tested.
